Rigs, bangers, carb caps and dab tools at Prestige Smoke Shop on SE 29th Street. Bring your rig in and we will match the right banger and cap.
Dab rigs are the most technical thing in our cases, and the questions we get show it. Most problems people bring to the counter are not about the rig at all. They come from a banger that does not fit, the wrong temperature, or a carb cap that does not match. Get those three right and almost any decent rig works well.
Our view is that a small rig with a good quartz banger beats a big, flashy rig with a cheap one. Small rigs keep the flavor tight and the vapor path short. Big rigs look impressive and taste flatter.
We sell rigs, bangers, carb caps and dab tools, and every rig in the case can come out for you to look over before you buy.

Four parts, and each one has to fit the others.
Mini rigs, roughly 5 to 8 inches tall, are what we point most people to. Less glass means less room for vapor to cool and lose flavor. Bigger rigs filter more but take a harder pull.
Bangers come in 10 mm, 14 mm and 18 mm, in male or female. The banger has to be the opposite gender of your rig's joint, so a 14 mm female rig takes a 14 mm male banger.
A 90 degree banger suits a rig whose joint comes out at an angle. A 45 degree banger suits a joint that points straight out. The goal is a bucket that sits level once it is seated.
A carb cap traps heat so you can dab at a lower temperature. Bubble caps are simple, directional caps let you steer airflow around the bucket, and spinner caps pair with spinning pearls. Match the cap to your banger's bucket width.
A tool with a scoop on one end and a point on the other covers most needs. Pick one long enough to keep your fingers well away from hot quartz.
Heavy smoke and a harsh taste mean the banger was too hot. Heat the quartz, then let it cool for 45 seconds to a minute or more before you drop the dab.
Size and gender guesses are the top reason people come back for a second banger. Measure the joint or bring the rig with you.
Leftover residue burns black and stains quartz. Swab it out while it is still warm after every dab.
A rig only needs enough water to cover the perc holes. Any more and you get a mouthful.
Low-grade butane can leave buildup on quartz. A refined, multi-filtered butane keeps your banger cleaner.
When someone tells us they are new to dabbing, the first thing we ask is what they already own. A lot of people walk in with a rig from a friend and no idea what fits it. We will look at the joint, check the size, and tell you exactly which banger and cap will work.
We steer people toward simple, sturdy quartz and a cap that fits snug. That combination does more for flavor than any fancy rig. If you want to spend money, spend it on the banger first.
Bring your rig with you if you are replacing a part. It takes us a few seconds to check, and it saves you from buying the wrong size. We are on SE 29th Street near Sunnylane Rd, open every day until midnight.
After each dab, while the banger is warm but no longer hot, swab out the bucket with a cotton swab. Warm residue wipes right out. Cold residue needs heat and a scrub.
Change rig water every few days and give the glass an alcohol and salt soak every week or two. Let the banger cool completely on its own. Dunking hot quartz in water or alcohol can crack it.

Rigs for every setup. Here is what our budtenders tell people.
Smaller rigs keep the flavor and hit harder than big ones.
Most people dab on a quartz banger. We will match one to your rig.
Electric rigs heat up on their own. No torch needed.
A carb cap gets more out of every dab.
Look at your rig's joint. Most are 10 mm, 14 mm or 18 mm, and either male or female. Your banger needs the same size and the opposite gender, so a 14 mm female joint takes a 14 mm male banger. Bring the rig in and we will check it for you.
You can dab without one, but a cap lets you dab at lower temperatures and get more from each one. It is the cheapest upgrade with the biggest difference in taste.
Lower than most people think. Heat the banger, then wait roughly 45 seconds to a minute before dabbing. Thicker quartz holds heat longer, so it takes a few tries to dial in your timing.
It depends on your rig's joint. Angled joints usually want a 90 degree banger, and joints that point straight out usually want a 45. The bucket should sit level when it is in place.
Swab the banger while it is warm after every dab. Every week or two, soak the rig in isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt, shake, and rinse well with lukewarm water.
A dab rig is smaller, built for heated dabs, and uses a banger instead of a bowl. A bong is bigger and built for more airflow. Each works best at its own job.
