How To Choose A Pre-Roll
A quick check at the counter saves you a bad smoke later.
Freshness
Look for a packaging date. Older pre-rolls dry out and burn hot. One sealed in a tube or tin holds up better than one sitting loose.
Size
Pre-rolls come in different lengths, from short singles to full-size cones. Shorter ones are easier to finish in one sitting, which also helps with freshness.
Packing
Give it a gentle squeeze. It should feel firm but not rock hard. Too soft and it runs, too tight and it will not draw.

Cones are our favorite middle ground. You fill and pack them yourself, but the shape is done for you. If rolling has never clicked for you, start with a 1 1/4 or king size cone and pack it down with a pen as you fill.
