Valley Brook is a small town south of Del City, strung along SE 59th Street. It started as oil camp housing in the 1930s, when drilling in the Oklahoma City Field brought workers to the south side, and it incorporated as its own town in 1956. The whole town covers about a quarter of a square mile, and the municipal building sits at 1618 SE 59th.
It is not on the way to much on our side of town, so getting to us takes a few long, straight roads. East on SE 59th almost two miles, north on Bryant about two miles, then east on SE 29th for a mile. Call it eleven minutes, just under five miles, and most of it is open road.
