For Midwest City, we are just across the line. Del City's eastern edge is Sooner Road, so the moment you turn off Sooner and head west on SE 29th, you are in Del City and about a mile from our door. From Rose State, the whole trip is around six minutes.
It is a city that runs on shifts. Base schedules, class schedules, early mornings and late nights. That rhythm shows up in when people from Midwest City come see us, and it is a big reason late hours matter on this side of town.
Coming from Midwest City, you are driving west into Del City, and Sooner Road is the line between the two. Every route here ends with a stretch west on SE 29th. We are at 4715 SE 29th St, between Sooner and Sunnylane, with a parking lot on site.
From campus, head west on SE 15th to Sooner Road and turn left. Sooner takes you south about two thirds of a mile, crossing I-40 on the way, to SE 29th. Get into the right lane, turn right onto 29th, and head west. Del City starts at Sooner, so you are in town the moment you make that turn, and we are at 4715 SE 29th St before you reach Sunnylane. About six minutes and 1.7 miles. Class change times can slow SE 15th by the college, so give yourself a little room.
Leaving the base through Tinker Gate, head north on Air Depot Boulevard to SE 29th. Turn left onto 29th and drive west. You cross Sooner Road into Del City, and the shop is a little further along at 4715 SE 29th St. Roughly two and a half miles, about seven minutes. Shift changes can back things up around the gate and on Air Depot, so if you are leaving at a busy hour, expect the first part of the trip to be the slowest and the rest to move fine.
Vance Gate sits on Sooner Road just south of SE 29th, which makes it the base gate closest to us. Come out onto Sooner, head north the short distance to SE 29th, and turn left. Now you are in Del City heading west, and we are only a short drive down 29th at 4715. Around three minutes and about a mile. Gate hours change from time to time, so check the base's current schedule before you plan your stop around this one.
Town Center Plaza sits right on SE 29th, so this is the simplest drive on the page. Leave the plaza by way of Aeronica Drive and Atkinson Plaza, and turn right onto SE 29th heading west. Then just stay on 29th for about 1.9 miles. You cross Air Depot Boulevard and then Sooner Road into Del City. Arby's shows up on the right a few hundred feet before the shop, and that is your cue to slow down. We are on the right, just before Vickie Drive. About seven minutes and 2.1 miles. If you are already shopping at the plaza, it is an easy add on the way home.
From the Reed Center, head out on Warren Drive and turn right onto the Tinker Diagonal. Go a short way to Sooner Road and turn left. Sooner takes you south about seven tenths of a mile to SE 29th. Turn right onto 29th, and you are in Del City heading west. Arby's comes up on the right after about a quarter mile, and we are just beyond it on the same side, at 4715. Around five minutes and 1.6 miles. It is a handy stop after an event at the Reed Center, and since we are open until midnight every day, a late finish is no problem.
